Reggie Greer is a public policy and engagement strategist with over a decade of experience in advancing government affairs, human rights policy, and political representation at the highest levels of government. Greer is also a fellow at Harvard Kennedy School’s Carr-Ryan Center for Human Rights.

Previously, Greer served in the Biden-Harris Administration as a senior advisor in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) at the U.S. Department of State. In this role, he played a central part in crafting and implementing strategies to advance U.S. human rights priorities and address anti-LGBTQI+ violence and discrimination across the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and Central Asia.

Greer also served as White House Director of Priority Placement and Senior Advisor on LGBTQ+ Engagement under President Biden. He also led LGBTQ+ outreach for the 2020 Biden-Harris Campaign as the National LGBTQ+ Engagement Director. Greer joined the campaign following his role as Constituent Engagement Director at the LGBTQ Victory Institute, where he worked to empower and support LGBTQ+ elected and appointed leaders nationwide.

Greer’s public service began during the Obama-Biden Administration, where he served as Deputy Director of Public Engagement at the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT). During his time at USDOT, he acted as liaison to the White House Business Council and served as a special assistant to then-Secretary Anthony Foxx.

Greer launched his career as a government affairs associate at the American Waterways Operators, and then he served in political roles on President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign and at the Democratic National Committee. A native of Wichita Falls, Texas, Greer earned his B.A. in Government from Georgetown University in 2009.
